After saying it for a couple months, a year later, I finally got my hair cut! 4 inches off, 5 with shrinkage but man it sure is healthy!
May 6:

The First Monday in May means it's time for the Met Ball! This year's theme: Camp!

Even with a haircut, my hair is still long!

I've had an obsession with Betty Who since 2014, she was on tour with Panic! At The Disco, back in February, and I thought I was finally going to get to see her, imagine my outrage when instead of doing the last night in Sacramento she went on the Kesha Cruise! So when I knew she was gonna be in San Francisco this month I knew I had to go! I also had to get the Meet and Greet!

She said I looked beautiful and I got to tell her I bought this sequin top especially for her!

After having not been to the gym since the beginning to the middle of April, I decided to cancel my Planet Fitness membership. At least for awhile. I think I may check out Title Boxing Club in Sacramento being I had been enjoying that in Columbus prior to my move West. But we'll see if I can find some motivation! I am in a wedding in September with a bunch of skinny minis after all!

I can't wait to see what happens next month!

KJB Review: Met Gala 2019

Y'all, it's one of the best days of the year... you know behind my birthday (February 13th), Christmas (December 25th), Beyonce's birthday (September 4th)... It's The First Monday in May, which means it's time for the Met Ball Gala!!! You know I've done a deep dive the last two years. Here's 2017's Review and 2018's Review.

Here's what we know:

- Anna Winter approves of literally every person in attendance at the Met Gala (and I just have some questions about credentials, I write from my couch in CA in my pjs)
-This year's theme: "Camp: Notes on Fashion".
- This year, Wintours’ co-chairs include Lady GagaHarry StylesSerena Williamsand Alessandro Michelle
-The exhibit is inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay that defines camp as "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration."
- The exhibit: Camp: Notes on Fashion Overview: Through more than 250 objects dating from the seventeenth century to the present, The Costume Institute's spring 2019 exhibition will explore the origins of camp's exuberant aesthetic. Susan Sontag's 1964 essay "Notes on 'Camp'" provides the framework for the exhibition, which examines how the elements of irony, humor, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, and exaggeration are expressed in fashion. (Thank you, Met website)
