Flashback Fashion Friday: July

July was a whirlwind of a month! My grandma passed away, mom and I went to Oregon to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. I had a work training in San Diego and some of my sorority sisters from Ohio came out to visit!

Here's what I wore:

July 1

July 2

Had to take our July 4th photos early being Thomas went to Camp Bow Wow while I was in Oregon!

Travel OOTD
50th Birthday Party LOTN
Mom and I flew into Portland on the 3rd, hung out with our friend and helped party prepped. Then came nap time (Bless UP!) and then an outfit change! Our friend had a wonderful dinner party in her background with a group of friends that was catered by a vegan caterer. It was a great time! I was so excited to finally wear this dress from Target that I've had for over a year and had just been waiting for the perfect time!

I was in charge of tying all the green sashes!

July 4

We also celebrated the 4th with our friends in Portland! They had a cook out in their backyard, they separated the tables and then the kids (16 yos) put on our firework show! Being the majority of my fireworks have been set off at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds, it was quite a treat!

July 5

We went to lunch and started the 3rd season of Stranger Things!

July 6

On our last day in Oregon, we watched the last few episodes of the 3rd season of Stranger Things and then headed to the airport!

July 7

This is my go to outfit for running errands. Those errands included picking Thomas up from Camp and then taking mom to the airport!

July 8

This is the look of someone that is utter exhausted and sad. These are my bereavement LEWKS.

After a year of waiting, I finally got to go to the Shawn Mendes concert!! He was BEYOND AMAZING! Seriously, if you ever had the chance- go! Well worth the wait! Funny story, last year- I bought these tickets and then I saw Harry Styles was gonna be in Sacramento, so I bought those tickets. Being the concert tickets for Shawn didn't have a date, last year- two days after Harry's concert, I went back to Sac thinking it was time for Shawn, and boy oh boy- was I wrong! Then I took to Twitter where a fan was like, "it's next year, sis".

My floor seats in the back corner made my WHOLE DAMN LIFE! He sang Ruin to my face, y'all!

After many months of planning on it and just not doing it- Thomas and I finally made it back to San Francisco for the Monthly English Bulldog Meetup at Crissy Field! It was so great, Thomas finally put his paws in the Pacific Ocean! Plus, he was able to make a bunch of friends! We can't wait to go back next month (aka in a couple of weeks)!

July 21

On the 21st, I took Thomas back to Camp and I headed to San Diego for my work conference! Spending the day before in San Francisco probably didn't do us any favors but there you go.

July 22

July 23

After spending the morning doing some programming, we broke into groups for our excursion! I went to Mission Beach! Let me tell you- that beach is a stark contrast to Crissy Field!

July 24

Travel day! Had to say goodbye to my new friends and pick up Thomas from Camp!

July 25

The 25th was the day I had been waiting months for, my sorority sisters were coming to visit!

July 26

The first full day with my friends, I took them to San Francisco! Our plan had been to go see the Golden Gate Bridge, but the fog was unreal and so we changed up our plans- we went to Pier 39, went to the Aquarium of the Bay, then we went to the Museum of Ice Cream!

July 27

Saturday, I took them through the Farmer's Market, we went to brunch downtown and we had bomb pedicures at my happy place. We took bomb naps and then we met up with another Greek from UA that has found himself right here in Davis, CA!

July 28

Sunday, my Little had her gender reveal, so we squished around a phone so we could be a part of the big day! Afterwards, we went to the pool and instituted Second Dinner. We went to Dickey's BBQ for first dinner, watched the first part of this year's Shark Week and then we went to In N Out for Second Dinner!

July 29

"Were we expecting you?"

Monday, we went to Napa Valley in search of tasting rooms. Upon arrival, we realized that most of the vineyards required appointments. But we found two that didn't. We went to Sutter Homes, and let me tell you- I really enjoyed my Sweet Wine tasting, there may be hope for me yet! Then we went to a beautiful and yet overpriced restaurant, Brix, where we watched a wedding party take photos! We were thankful for Second Dinner, we went to Fire Wings for National Chicken Wing Day!

July 30

On my friends' last day in California, we went back to San Francisco. There was fog but you were able to actually make out the bridge through it. We walked the beach at Crissy Field. We took a Blue & Gold Fleet boat tour of the Bay and Alcatraz. It was phenomenal and then I left them so I could head home.

July 31

Growing up, mom would always threaten that if I didn't lose the attitude after a sleepover- I wouldn't be able to have one anymore. Let me tell you- I have been sharing my space since the 21st, and to go back to it being just me and Thomas after 10 days... it was strange! Hell, going back to doing things alone was a trip! But I'm grateful I planned ahead and go myself a ticket to Kathy Griffin's A Hell of A Story! It's well worth the watch! It's on Apple TV, August 13th!

I went to Kathy's 2nd show back in the US last year, right here in San Francisco! The lady was on for 3 hours and I mean SHE WAS ON FOR THREE HOURS! She's truly hilarious and what happened to her was atrocious! Getting to see some background stuff along with the stand-up was truly a treat! Then afterwards she had a Q & A at The Paley Center for Media with an 1st Amendment lawyer, it was incredible! Honestly see it when you get the chance!

So that's what I wore for the month of July! I was seriously so crazy busy, I don't even know what I was thinking scheduling so much. Though honestly, it fell together organically and prior to living it, it didn't seem so bad! Now I'm off for some summer fun with my mom in SoCal!

So tell me, what did you do during July?
