London 2012

So literally the 2012 Olympics, were the best time ever! I loved Beijing all around, but this time around the Olympics was a team event! The Valley View Family was absolutely obsessed! We would come in to open the pool. Turn on the computer, log onto nbcolympics.com, check the medal count, and check and see when Michael (Phelps) would swim, and other Team USA events we cared to watch and see. We livestreamed as long as we were allowed. Then we followed the Twitter accounts of NBC employees and past Olympians, i.e. Shawn Johnson & Nastia Luikin. So when we had to sit in the chair, ya know... actually work, we would use our walkie talkies to tell each other the outcomes of the races, (and if we weren't working that day we called each other), mainly my main squeeze, Michael :)

Here's the photos resulting from the happy outcomes of those races!:

My outfit for the week, consisted of my Michael Phelps shirt and my gold headband! I had to be thinking gold... The only day I didn't, was Day 1, 400 IM... So thereafter, I did my part! I am definitely the ultimate Phelps fan!

After swimming ended, he walked away with 20 medals, 16 of which gold! Cause he's badass! And THE GREATEST EVER! So after Team USA was done swimming, the Olympics just wasn't any real fun anymore! It was kinda bittersweet ending, cause this was his last Olympics... But Beth & I and whoever else are planning on going to Rio 2016!!! And I'm very hopeful he'll be there in the crowd, if not in the pool (fingers crossed), and we'll get to meet him! Yeah, I'm a dreamer! So sue me!

Well...

Well the time has come, the summer has come to an end, well not technically. But I'm done working at the pool. I've fully moved into my apartment, unpacked and decorated! And today was my first day back at Justice. So in my opinion, summer is over... And while it was/is difficult to come to terms with,  it's time to move onto the next chapter.... JUNIOR YEAR! It's truly incredible to say that! I don't feel like it's even real life to not be in high school anymore... & now it's almost time to graduate again!

So this summer, was seriously my favorite in recent memory. I can't think of one to rival it, and I'm not sure there will ever come a time when it can be beat. I realized that all you really need to be happy is to be surrounded by people you truly care about and that care about you and to be in a place where you feel comfort. That's what home means. I've never been more upset to say goodbye to summer!

This summer I got to see my best friend that I hardly get to see throughout the year! She spent a whole week at my house! Perfect way to start the summer! Then the summer really took off, I worked nonstop until vacation, where we went to Vegas & California, for two weeks! Then I came back to working nonstop! My summer consisted of summer sun & pool side fun! My co-workers truly became my best friends and I don't know how I'll handle not talking and seeing them everyday! Seriously, we weren't all just co-workers but family! And it's never easy to leave family behind! Especially when you know some of the people won't be back and it just won't be the same. Saying goodbye to my mom and sister was miserable as well!

Summer 2012/Vacation & London 2012!

So sorry for my absence! I have been fully enjoying the summer and working like a mad woman!!! I have worked practically everyday this summer with the exception of a few days! At the end of June, we went on Vacation. Visiting my aunt & uncle in Las Vegas, and friends in SoCal.

Vacation was absolutely wonderful & I can't believe it came and went so fast! Then the entire month of July went lightning fast! & I've had the best time working at the pool this year! Serious best friendships have been cemeted this summer!

And finally... the love of my life, Michael Phelps is the Greatest Olympian Ever! Not just my opinion anymore! But fact! He got his 19th medal last night! He now has FIFTEEN gold, 2 silver & 2 bronze!!!

Hopefully we can clench medals in the next 3 races!!! I would love for him to get 22 medals make it even harder for someone to beat him in the years to come! I'd even be happy with one more! Though I fully believe he can get it!

I'm completely devasted that I am not in London! The Olympics are make my life!!! I'm completely preoccupied with it! At work the only thing I'm worried about is the outcome of the finals for swimming and the gymnasts. A coworker and I are so obsessed with the games & the medal count that you'd think we were involved and that Team USA was asking us our opinions on strategy! The highlights of the games so far in the games, Phelps getting his 19th medal, and beating that 48 year old record! Followed closely by the women's gymnastics team getting Gold!!!! The first gold since 1996! The Fab Five has truly earned their name! Hopefully the games continue to improve the U.S.'s medal count! & we win the most medals at the end of the 30th Olympiad!

May the odds be ever in our (Team USA's) favor!!!
