Welcome to Edith Head & Company

Welcome to The Decorative Arts Center of Ohio! You're in for a treat- I'm about to give you a behind the scenes look of Edith Head & Company: Costumes and Jewelry, 1924-2015! You're welcome!

From May 21-August 14th, we were lucky enough to have this wonder exhibition on loan from Paramount Pictures Archives. Our curator, Randall Thropp and our exhibition team, worked tirelessly to put this display in order in just under a month.

FUN FACT: The Paramount Gate is made out of styrofoam!

This incredible costume was worn by John Hurt in the 2014 Hercules remake. It's plastic and brass pieces on leather- it's extremely heavy.

This wedding train was worn by Jeannette MacDonald in 1929's The Love Parade. It's 21ft long and required 10 little boys to help carry it in the film. These photos don't do it justice!

With this being the last week to view the exhibition, I wanted to let you know what you've been missing out on. This is about to be an amazing trip through this exhibition! Stay tuned for the other 4 galleries of this incredible exhibition!
