KJB’s Twenty-Eighteen Round Up

2018, truly was a wild ride! Here's the year broke down monthly!

Thomas turned one!

In January, I went to California State University, Chico for the first time to help Delta Iota's recruitment!

Y'all, the Winter Olympics started in February! Yes, 2018 was so wild, that WE HAD AN OLYMPICS and people forgot!

In February, I traveled to LA to facilitate with Regional Recruitment Training at USC with some of my Volunteer Service Team, Membership!

I turned 26!

Palace of Fine Arts

I went to San Francisco for the first of many times to reconnect with my Akron sister that is now an LA transplant!

Sonoma State's Lip Jam
To finish off the month, I went to Sonoma State to see their Lip Jam, y'all- THIS IS AN EVENT! Looking forward to going again!

Black Panther came out!

I flew to Indianapolis, to see my mother become a member of Alpha Gamma Delta!

Momma B is an AGD!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day for the first time in Davis! I also started my CASA classes!

Thomas and I met up with my elementary bff that now lives in NorCal in SF at the English Bulldog Meetup at Crissy Field!

Momma B came out to California for her spring break! We went spent time in NorCal and SoCal!

The second season of Santa Clarita Diet came out as did Love, Simon and A Wrinkle in Time!

Thomas and I celebrated his Gotcha Day!

Hey Bekah!

After mom went home, I welcomed a few friends out here in Davis!

Then my Bumble BFF and I went on an adventure in San Francisco!

We went to the Museum of Ice Cream and Color Factory.

AND OF COURSE, WE GOT BEYCHELLA!

Jersey Shore returned, took me right back to high school.

In May, I went to the first of many summer concerts!

Life of the Party came out! My Big graduated with her Masters!

Congratulations Mrs. Hayes!

I went back to Ohio for a wedding! And I completed my hours and took my pledge to become a CASA!

In June, we saw the end of the academic school year. The second season of Queer Eye premiered on Netflix. The first two episodes had me sobbing, that I still have three episodes left to finish!

I came to San Francisco to see Kathy Griffin's second show back in the states! She was on for two and half hours and it was FANTASTIC!

Omega Sisters!

Then I traveled to San Antonio for my first (of many) Alpha Gamma Delta Convention!

In July, I went to the dentist for the first time in 3 years, and had 6 cavities to take care of! Not too bad considering. I never said I was good at adulting. I also met my youth for the first time in my CASA program.

My Akron sister, Sara came to town and we went to the Museum of Ice Cream in SF and she asked me to be a bridesmaid! I'm so excited!

I saw Harry Styles in Sacramento!

Thomas and I went back to Ohio on what would turn out to be our worst trip East. I went to the beloved Art Walk and got a tattoo! Threw mom a surprise going way party and went up North for a wedding.

Congratulations Mrs. Kasminsky

Due to the TERRIBLE trip East, Thomas and I drove West!

This month, I found my Davis doctor, finished up my dentist visits! I was put back on my meds that I had run out of back in March, don't try that at home, kiddies!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Heiber

Almost immediately after returning back to Davis, I flew back to Ohio for another wedding and my last for the year!

Blackkklansman came out! Netflix Original and one of my FAVORITE YA novels, To All The Boys I've Loved Before came out! Crazy Rich Asians came out! EVERYTHING WAS SO DAMN GOOD!

I went to LA for the day to see some Ohio friends and some Akron/LA transplants!

Gavin DeGraw
Sam Smith

I also saw Gavin DeGraw & Philip Philips in Reno, NV AND Sam Smith in Sacramento! Y'all, I'll follow Gavin DeGraw literally anywhere and somehow Sam Smith is even better live!

The women had to move out of the facility and I facilitated a facility deep clean!

September may just be the BEST month of 2018, cause I closed out my summer concert sessions with BEYONCE and JAY-Z in LA! Thank God for Beyonce!

The women moved back into the house and I got to experience my first Recruitment with them.

Beyonce was easily the most exciting part and that trip to LA began my love affair of Drybar! If you've never been, RUN don't walk to your nearest salon!

Then there was the misguided excitement over the TERRIBLE Netflix original, Sierra Burgess is a Loser... cause homie really is! But they followed up with Nappily Ever After which was great!

In October, I gave myself a challenge! 100 Squats a Day for 31 Days of Halloween! And I also challenged myself to go to the gym every day. That quickly became Monday through Thursday. But I held up my end of the bargain. If I skipped one day, then I would pick it up somewhere else. I suppose that makes up for the two months of not attending while paying my membership fee. My friend and I went to Candytopia and one of my best friends found out she was pregnant!

It was a wild month!

Because life is all about balance, after going to the gym Monday through Thursday in October, I only went twice this month.

I celebrated 7 years as an Alpha Gamma Delta. I went to Dry Bar again, truly- I've become obsessed! Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald came out, I didn't see it (shocking I know!).

Forever Friends

Mom and I met up in Oregon for Thanksgiving, with family friends we haven't seen since 2002, and honestly it was a wildly fun time!

For some reason, I caught the bug to record everything. So I ended up adding videos to my YouTube channel for the first time in a year!

Enjoy!

If this month taught me anything, it taught me to pull the trigger and call my healthcare provider to get information on therapy, cause your girl's ISSUES HAVE ISSUES... and I should really be backing away from retail therapy!

This month, I went I tried to get things in order for y'all. Sorry for my disappearing act, I'm really not sure what has been the matter...

So I wound up vlogging some more! I also realized that your girl LOVES talking with her hands! Here's to more videos in the new year! Follow my channel here: KJB Meets World

I went to the gym more, just until Momma B came to town, but it was more than November! Once mom got here for her Christmas Break, our fun began! We took Thomas to see Santa (again!), we went to MOIC and Candytopia in SF, we went to DryBar and we came to San Francisco (again) to celebrate Christmas!

We went back to Ohio for some time to celebrate my BFF's 5th birthday! We met my friend's new babes.

KJB Meets World (originally Girl Meets World) turned 7! I'm blaming this weird year on that dreaded 7 year itch!

2018, was quite the year... where I wrote the least amount of posts since 2014. Where I was finishing my undergraduate and dealing with a lot. I went on to do quite a good deal of writing in the following years. Here's hoping 2019 I get my groove back!

xo,
KJB
